15 March, 2016 – The International Concussion and Head Injury Research Foundation (‘ICHIRF’), an international initiative looking at the long-term effects of concussion in men and women who have competed in impact sports, announces the appointment of Vigo Communications to advise on its ongoing communications strategy.
The account team at Vigo is being led by Patrick d’Ancona, Chris McMahon and Fiona Henson.
Patrick d’Ancona, Managing Director at Vigo commented: “The debate around concussion sustained through a range of sports is being discussed increasingly frequently in the media and, to date, there has been a lack of clinical research undertaken into the subject.
“The ICHIRF study is the first sport agnostic study, seeking to provide clarity on the issue of whether or not there is an increased risk of health complications later in life due to participation in impact sports, as opposed to focusing on one sport alone.”
